We design and build special adaptors that allow our stereotaxic instruments to be used with just about any animal. We work directly from a skull of the animal supplied by you, and we work closely with you to make sure the adaptor fulfills its required purpose. We give a firm quote before proceeding. Delivery usually takes from 30 to 60 days.

We also make special stereotaxic instruments for animals too large to be accommodated by our standard frames. Delivery of special instruments is usually 90 to 120 days.

Model 1474 High Speed Stereotaxic Drill is designed for placing holes in the skull at precise stereotaxic coordinates for electrodes, cannulas
or micro injections.

Model 1474 can be run at a variable speed with dial or foot pedal control. The foot pedal control speed range is from 0 - 45,000 rpm. Both the micro motor control and foot pedal control have forward and reverse operation. Steady constant speed can be achieved with proper flip of the switch from foot to manual control.

Additional design features include a quick change rotary chuck handpiece with DC motor housed within. This handpiece is distinguished from flexible shaft machines by higher speed performance and added flexibility. Includes standard collet 1/8". The handpiece is vibration-free, quiet running and lightweight. Model 1464 stereotaxic handpiece holder is included.

Model 1475 Stereotaxic Drill Press is designed to simplify drilling precision burr holes into the skull at precise stereotaxic coordinates.

The drill press attaches directly to the stereotaxic manipulator and allows you to quickly lower the drill from a safe clearance height above the skull; to and then into the skull, retracting as quickly as you entered.

Model 1475 Drill Press provides a micrometer depth stop with .010 mm resolution with total travel distance of 6.5 mm. A vertical locking screw is provided to secure heavier drilling units in a safe retracted position. Any Kopf stereotaxic drill with handpiece holder can be attached to our drill press using our traditional upper bracket clamp assembly, which is used on all Kopf stereotaxic accessories.

Model 980 Small Animal Spinal Unit is ideal for a variety of spinal procedures. A variety of spinal accessories have been included, making this unit extremely versatile for research with various small animals. It is easily the most flexible spinal unit available to researchers today.

The base of the unit is Model 912 Spinal Base Plate which is precision machined and has two full length tee slots for rapid mounting and removal of components. The plate is 24" L x 12" W x 1" H
and weighs 27 pounds.

Attached to the plate by way of tee slots are seven base mounts with vertical posts and clamps. The mounts are secured to the base plate by thumb screws and tee nuts for fast, rigid clamping. No wrenches are needed.

The posts have 3/8" shaft and have 4.5" of vertical adjustment. The upright assembly clamps have been designed with thumb screws for fast and easy height adjustment. The design of the Model 980 assures ample lateral, A/P and vertical travel of all components.
