Pinnacle Technology生物傳感器可即時監控實驗動物特定腦區的中樞神經訊息傳遞相關化學物質,搭配Pinnacle公司所開發的有線/無線訊號接收器以及數據記錄/分析軟體組合成一套完整的設備,即可得到清醒動物的即時(最小單位為秒)化學物質濃度變化。生物傳感器常常被用在特定行為與生理變化相關實驗上,用於觀察動物在進行特定行為或是有特定生理現象發生時,腦部的特定神經訊息傳遞物質濃度會不會有所改變,生物傳感器亦是一個進行神經藥理學或是藥物試驗的一項利器。
每支生物傳感器上都含有酵素塗層,最多可量測96小時的連續數據,Pinnacle Technology目前提供5種偵測不同化學物質的生物傳感器供您選擇,包含了Glutamate穀氨酸、Glucose葡萄糖、Lactose乳糖、Choline膽鹼以及Ethanol酒精。若您今天更換了研究主題需要量測不同的化學物質,您只需要添購不同種類的生物傳感器即可。
全套Pinnacle Technology生物傳感器系統亦可搭配其他Pinnacle Technology生產的設備使用,例如EEG/EMG系統以及光遺傳學系統。
BIOSENSORS
Biosensors monitor real-time changes in neurochemical concentrations. With Pinnacle's turn-key electronic and software systems, users can record and analyze second-by-second concentration changes (not basal level) of CNS neurochemicals in freely moving animals . Biosensors are commonly used for in vivo monitoring during behavioral and physiological activities. They are also ideal for drug screening and investigating the neuropharmacological effects of different compounds.

Pinnacle offers glutamate, glucose, lactate, choline and ethanol biosensors.
All biosensors sold by Pinnacle are for non-human use only.
BIOSENSOR DIAGRAM
Pinnacle biosensors function by the enzyme-mediated processing of the analyte of interest. This results in the production of hydrogen peroxide that is then detected by oxidation at a Pt-Ir electrode. Electroactive interferents present in the brain are excluded via a passive selective membrane and through active removal when necessary.
