DSI Buxco®FinePointeRC系統可在實驗動物麻醉的情況下直接檢測其肺通氣量和肺內壓，從而衍算出R I 和C dyn等數值。通過食管進行插管或通過頸部切開氣管進行插管等方式皆可，如果是通過食管進行插管，則適用於長期縱向研究。
