與人類肺功能檢測指標類似，DSI BUXCO ® PFT系統適用於臨床前肺功能研究，可對麻醉動物進行一系列成組實驗的數據自動分析與檢測，包括FRC功能殘氣量檢測、FEV、FVC、用力肺活量、準靜態肺順應性、氣道阻力以及動態肺順應性、TLC肺容積、VC肺活量等直接生理指標.FRC檢測要求動物保持自主呼吸狀態，其它測試均可在使用呼吸機輔助呼吸或動物自主呼吸狀態下進行。實驗中動物需中度麻醉，系統全自動進行檢測。
